Welcome to the FCAT Explorer Parent and Family Guide!
The Parent and Family Guide supports parents, guardians, and mentors in their efforts to help
children strengthen the critical skills outlined in the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards
and tested on the FCAT. The Parent and Family Guide includes details about each of the practice
programs available in reading, math and science. In addition, you will find a list of links to Florida
Department of Education resources to help you understand the FCAT, the Next Generation Sunshine State
Standards, and your role in preparing your child for success. These materials are available in Spanish
and Haitian Creole as well.
